Overall: 2.9 | Table 6, tucked into a nice spot off the corner of 6th and Corona, is a cute little venue that would be perfect for small parties. Unfortunately, we chose to come here this week with a party of 11, which was far too many people for the restaurant. Though we didn’t have to wait to be seated (having made prior reservations), we were still jammed together in the center of the already-packed restaurant. Overall, I didn’t have a great experience here, though I think I’d like to try it again sometime with a party of 4 or fewer.
Food: 3.6 | I will admit that the food they served was delicious. Though the menu wasn’t necessarily expansive, they had a decent selection to choose from. I had a breakfast chili (pictured below) with a poached egg overtop. It was very, very tasty!
Drinks: 3.7 | The mimosas were pretty standard (though good), and I’m told the bloody mary’s were pretty excellent as well (though personally I can’t stand the things). I stuck to two carafes of french press coffee, which was delicious. I later regretted drinking that much coffee…
Service: 2.0 | Some of the bad experience is probably attributed to the size of our group, but still, the service here was far less than satisfying. It took a long time to get anything done, from drink orders, to food orders, to the food coming out, to getting the tickets split, to finally paying & getting change. One of the food orders was incorrect (though they were pretty quick to get out the correct order, which was good). I think our server may have been just having a bad day, but even so, I was not impressed.
Ambiance: 2.5 | Due to the small size of the place (which was packed) and the open kitchen, it was incredibly loud. I couldn’t hear anything from the other end of the table, and I struggled to hear anything a mere two seats over.
Value: 3.1 | The value was pretty average for what you got. Good food, though not cheap. No unlimited mimosas, though they were only $3 each so that was by no means a shabby deal.
